Continuing Education Courses

Every two years, 14 hours of continuing education is required by the Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission for Pennsylvania real estate salespersons, associate brokers, and brokers. The deadline to complete continuing education classes and the state online renewal application is by May 31st of every even numbered year. The current renewal period is June 1, 2024 - May 31, 2026.


Please note the following REQUIREMENT for all licensed prior to December 1, 2023:

Required CE Topics for the June 1, 2024 - May 31, 2026 cycle for agents licensed prior to December 1, 2023: The PA State Real Estate Commission (SREC) is requiring that a minimum of 5 hours of the 14 hours of continuing education must be taken in the following topics:

  • 5 hours - Mandatory Hours
    • 2 hours in Fair Housing
    • 3 hours in Agency Relationship
  • 9 hours - Elective Hours


Please note the following REQUIREMENT for all licensed on or after December 1, 2023:

Required CE Topics for the June 1, 2024 - May 31, 2026 cycle for agents licensed on or after December 1, 2023: The PA State Real Estate Commission (SREC) requires that newly licensed agents take two very specific 7-hour classes. One class MUST be the 7-Hr General Module. The other class can be either the 7-Hr Commercial Module (if you want to learn more about commercial real estate) OR the 7-Hr Residential Module.
