Todd Van Horn
Director of Education

After listing and selling real estate in the tri-county region for the past 30+ years, Todd is now focused on helping the next generation of licensed agents, just as he did while employed as an educator in the Pittsburgh Public Schools. With a strong work ethic, TVH worked as a Realtor at night and on the weekends since the beginning of 1992; while during the daytime he served in the positions of teacher, coach, instructional teacher leader, dean of students, and lead principal of various grade levels. After obtaining his Superintendent License in 2014, Broker License in 2015, and Real Estate Instructor's license in 2016; he is now putting all three licenses into good use as Director of Education for Real Estate Educators.

Joanne Crocker
Instructor

Joanne has been in the mortgage lending industry for over 20 years. She has worked as a loan originator for several large Real Estate Brokers and Lending Institutions. She was a successful Realtor® for 7 years prior to that. Joanne also has a BA in Marketing from Bay Path College located in Longmeadow, MA. In 1990 she began teaching Real Estate and Finance courses for LoDolce Academy for Real Estate. Joanne has been an instructor for Real Estate Educators since 2005 teaching Real Estate Pre-License and Continuing Education courses. Joanne loves teaching and incorporating her knowledge and experience in the classroom.

Sandra Giannuzzi
Instructor

Sandy began her career in real estate as a licensed professional salesperson in1992. In May of 2000, Sandy earned a BS in Elementary Education. For several years, she practiced real estate along with being a full-time classroom teacher. Sandy wants to share her love of teaching by incorporating her knowledge of real estate and experience in the classroom.

Jane Spector
Instructor

A native of Pittsburgh, Jane moved to Tampa FL in 1979 and was licensed as a FL Real Estate Salesperson in 1987.  Having studied communications at Briarcliff College, she landed her first job with BBDO, an international advertising agency as a media buyer and ultimately became a media planner.  As a result of her background in advertising, Jane excels in negotiating, defining markets and committing to serving her clients until the job is done.

Prior moving back to Pittsburgh, her real estate career includes, in addition to Tampa Bay, working in markets as diverse as Atlanta, Miami and Jacksonville, closing countless home and condominium sales and relocating employees of various organizations which allowed Jane to further master a fluctuating national market, while zeroing in on the wants and needs of each client.er prior

In addition to her extensive new construction and residential sales experience, Jane has worked with new condominium projects from finding land, assisting throughout the planning stages of the properties which included designing individual floor plans and amenities, reservations for new construction, conversion to contract, sales and pricing strategies, sales team development and training and ultimately successful sellouts. 

Upon moving back to Pittsburgh, Jane combined her years of real estate sales experience and passion for real estate, became an instructor.

Ultimately, Jane finds her greatest enjoyment in spending time with her son, his partner and daughter, husband and most important 2 grandsons.

Joi Edmonds
Prelicense Instructor

Joi Edmonds is a dynamic and knowledgeable agent who has achieved the titles of Preferred Masters Accreditation and Multi-Million Dollar Producer in just three short years. She is an expert in residential and commercial real estate as well as new construction.

As a full-time Realtor® with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services (BHHS) The Preferred Realty, Squirrel Hill office, is in the process of getting her Real Estate Broker’s License. She has sold over five million dollars of real estate throughout the Pittsburgh and its surroundings, during a global pandemic recognized as being a Top 200 Sales Associate. Joi is a Mentor with BHHS New Agent Mentor Program and has nine mentees assigned to her. Most recently, she became a licensed Real Estate Educator teaching pre-license courses to individuals who want to get into the real estate profession.

With a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh, a Master of Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in School Counseling, Joi has spent the past 20 years helping people improve their lives and real estate is just one way to do that. Joi has also been licensed in five states helping individuals and families with their life insurance needs. Prior to that, Joi was the owner of N-Joi Event Planning & Staffing Services. N-Joi outsourced waitstaff and bartenders to various clientele and event centers within the City of Pittsburgh and its surrounding communities. N-Joi provided corporate event staffing service to The National Aviary, The Children’s Museum and August Wilson Center to name a few.

She was born and raised in the Manchester community of Pittsburgh and now resides in Pittsburgh’s East Suburb. She has raised two beautiful adult children Kelcei J and J. Brannon Tindal. When not selling real estate, Joi likes to spend her time traveling, listening to live music, and surrounding herself with positive people.  Joi is a member of the National Association of Realtor®, Realtors® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh.
