Pre-License Courses
In order to become a real estate salesperson in Pennsylvania, you must:
Be at least 18 years of age
Have a high school education degree or equivalent
Complete 75 hours (5 credits) in real estate instruction in areas prescribed by the PA Real Estate Commission and provide the Official Transcripts to the PA Real Estate Commission evidencing the acquisition of course credits. Courses must have been completed within 5 years prior to the date of the successful completion of the licensing examination.
Have a passing score (75%) on EACH part (National & Pennsylvania) of the Salesperson's Examination within 3 years of submission of a properly completed license application, except that an applicant who has been actively licensed as a broker or salesperson in another state within the past 5 years shall only be required to take and pass the Pennsylvania portion of the examination. The courses prescribed by the PA Real Estate Commission to obtain a Pennsylvania Real Estate Salespersons License are: Real Estate Fundamentals (30 Hours / 2 Credits) and Real Estate Practice (45 Hours / 3 Credits).
Submit a completed application with the required application fee(s) and recommendations to the PA Real Estate Commission

Do I have to register for classes or can I just walk in without registering?
Pre-registering is required. The instructors need to have a text book and hand-outs for every student. Pre-registering allows the instructor to have a head count. Also, if a student walks in and the class is full, students who have pre-registered are given priority seating over the walk-in.How do I pay for class?
All payments MUST be made in full to REE prior to arrival at the first class. Payments can be made via credit card (American Express, Discover, Master Card or Visa) over the phone by calling the school, 412-369-8771; or can be made via cash or check payable to REE by visiting our office in person at 20206 Rt. 19 Ste 200 2nd Floor Cranberry Twp, PA 16066, during regular business hours from 9AM - 4PM. Your total payment of $435, will include the cost for the class tuition for BOTH STATE-MANDATED classes, Practice($225) & Fundamentals ($150), plus $60 for the textbook and student workbook/materials; unless other arrangements have been made. If you will be paying by check, make checks payable to Real Estate Educators.Will I have to take a final examination?
There will be a final examination in all Salesperson and Broker Pre-license classes. A final examination is not required for any of the Continuing Education classes.Upcoming Courses
